On April 5, 2003, a concert series called The MAGIC VALLEY GOSPEL OPRY opened it’s doors to a crowd of over 750 who came to hear the evenings featured guest, comedian Aaron Wilburn. For the next four years The MAGIC VALLEY GOSPEL OPRY hosted a vast array of national and internationally known recording artists like:

> The worlds greatest guitarist, Doyal Dykes;
> The anointed ministries of, Judy DeRamus & Sheila Lewis;
> Lead singer of the award winning group Shenandoah, Marty Raybon;
> TBN television personalities, LaVern & Edith Tripp;

> Writer of one of the most recorded Christian songs in history, “Midnight Cry,” Chuck Day;
> One of the smoothest male voices in America, Walt Mills;
> Southern Gospel Trios and Quartets: and
> High energy Bluegrass Bands.
Started by the pastor of the First Assembly of God church in Twin Falls, The Magic Valley Gospel Opry quickly gained recognition in the community. Sadly, after only a year, the pastor was called away. The church board then called upon David and Lawnie Kay Bolster to organize and host the program, which flourished for the next three years until it closed in February of 2007. After the close of The Magic Valley Gospel Opry, David, Lawnie Kay and Lori Bassett spent months praying and deliberating over whether or not to keep the concert series going. Finally, a decision was made and plans were drawn up. A new concert series would be started and its goal would be to, ‘Promote The Finest Christian Talent in Southern Idaho’. To the delight of audiences throughout the Magic Valley our Community Concert series became a reality!
